Gym Interior

In September of 2023 the Washington Waldorf School was thrilled to open the doors of the John & Mary Brauer Gym. The Room to Move campaign to build a gymnasium on our school's campus exceeded its $7 million fundraising goal! Altogether, 402 donors came together to raise a total of $7,127,037!

We thank every donor and volunteer who contributed their resources and time towards making the Room to Move campaign and the John and Mary Brauer Gym possible. We especially thank our lead donor and alum parent, Brad Clark, for his transformative $3.5 million challenge gift towards this initiative. His investment has inspired the Washington Waldorf School community to match his generosity, dollar for dollar, to reach a total goal of $7 million dollars to finance the Gym.

Build Our Vision: School Renovation Project

In September 2015, the Washington Waldorf School successfully completed essential renovations to our building located at 4800 Sangamore Road, Bethesda, MD. The Build Our Vision capital campaign, and the essential partnership with Montgomery County allowed WWS to make capital improvements for the benefit of current and future generations of WWS students.

Thank you to all of our parents, alumni, faculty, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends whose gifts helped us raise $4.8 million for the Build Our Vision Capital Campaign during the period of July 2012 – June 2015.
