Shuttle Bus Driver

The Washington Waldorf School (WWS) is seeking a part-time Shuttle Bus Driver for our Takoma Park & Silver Spring locations for the 2026-2027 School Year. 

Key Responsibilities/Duties include the following:

• Transport school age children safely and timely to and from their designated pick up location and WWS.      
• Conduct pre/post safety inspections for each trip.
• Ensure children are accurately accounted for on attendance logs.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal transit and traffic regulations.
• Ensure the proper safety of all children when boarding and disembarking the shuttle bus.
• Ensure proper vehicle upkeep to include but not limited to being clean, presentable, and fueled for daily use.
• Report any defects, mechanical issues, and/or safety hazards to your supervisor in a timely manner.

 Requirements for the position include:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be at least 25 years of age
• Clean Driving Record
• Successful completion of all WWS mandated training requirements
• Ability to pass Maryland criminal background check.

This position has two shifts. The hours for the morning shift are 6:15 am – 8:15 am and the hours for the afternoon shift are 3 pm – 5 pm. The compensation is $59.20 for each shift. We are looking for drivers who have any availability Monday – Friday to cover any shift.
