Spring Native Plant Sale 2026
Saturday, April 18, 9:00 am - 11:00 am
WWS is excited to partner with the Little Falls Watershed Alliance to bring you a Spring Native Plant Sale.
The morning will also include:
- Children’s Playdate – The plant sale is happening on the Early Childhood playground. Children are encouraged to come play!
- Little Falls Watershed Alliance – Our friends at LFWA will be there to tell you all about their important work to protect the fragile natural environment in lower Montgomery County and adjacent DC neighborhoods, and to ensure that the natural spaces in our area persist for generations to come.
- Master Gardener – The Maryland Agricultural Extension is generously providing a Master Gardener to attend our event and help answer all your Spring planting questions.
- Music performance – The WWS jazz band is planning a special performance at the event.
Native plants promote a living landscape by attracting butterflies, birds, and other pollinators to colorful perennial gardens. The sale will feature plugs of New England Aster, Coreopsis, Purple Coneflower, Black-eyed Susans, Goldenrod, Blue Mistflower, Golden Ragwort, Phlox, and other species for easy planting. For information about using landscaping plugs, visit https://www.northcreeknurseries.com/page/landscape-plugs
Restoring native vegetation to our suburban gardens promotes a healthy wildlife habitat and ecosystem. Whether you’re a veteran gardener or a rookie, you can choose your own mix to create a beautiful outdoor space.
