Special Initiatives

From time to time, the Washington Waldorf School has established special initiative funds in honor of someone and to support paricular work at the school.

The Alanna Lake Fund

Washington Waldorf School is honored to re-invigorate the Alanna Lake Fund, and work in partnership with Alanna's mother, Camilla Lake, to continue to honor and celebrate the life of Alanna.

Since the Fund was established, the School has used the Fund's interest towards Financial Aid efforts, leaving the principle of the Fund in place. The Fund will continue to operate in this way, but the focus will shift towards two efforts:

To provide funds to support a stipend and/or honorarium and/or guest teacher fee and/or travel fee for guest speakers or guest teachers
To continue to support the One Fund and Financial Aid
