Russell first worked at Washington Waldorf teaching electives and running the aftercare program. From there he went into making custom furniture and sawing lumber. More recently, he ran a business as a carpenter, woodworker, and contractor in the DC region, working with cabinets, furniture, and complete renovations.
He hopes to teach and inspire young people to feel empowered and capable to complete projects in the woodshop.
He has a dog, a cat, and two ducks. His wife teaches in the Early Childhood program at WWS and his son attends the school.
