Paige Black

Paige is one of the Nursery Lead teachers and currently serves as the Early Childhood Chair. Before joining WWS, Paige taught English in independent preparatory high schools for ten years, most recently at the National Cathedral School, allowing her to bring a broad perspective of the arc of child development to the nursery classroom. She also served on the board of the Takoma Park Cooperative Nursery.

Paige finished her Waldorf Early Childhood teaching training at the Sunbridge Institute in July 2026. She holds an AB in English from Bowdoin College and pursued a PhD in English at the University of Pennsylvania. Paige is a parent of two children, who are now in Second and Fifth Grade.
