Melanie studied Anthropology, Environmental Studies and French at the University of Michigan. She worked most recently as a teacher in a nature-based preschool and is certified in Nature-Based Education. She has also worked as an environmental educator and for an environmental nonprofit leading community outreach programming.
Melanie is a performing singer-songwriter and enjoys painting, drawing and making any type of art. Melanie is passionate about supporting creativity and looks forward to doing so at Washington Waldorf.
