Khristina holds a B.S. in Psychology, with additional coursework in neuroscience, human development, and family studies. As an undergraduate, she worked in a cognitive science lab studying child development and volunteered with Head Start. Her background also includes work as a Peer Mediator and Resident Assistant, years of caring for children from infancy through adolescence in settings ranging from church nurseries to forest preschool, leadership and management experience, and over 20 years of yoga practice and teaching.

Khristina believes children develop best through movement, relationships, creativity, nature, and hands-on experience. These qualities first drew her to Waldorf education while homeschooling her own children, and later as an educator.

Outside of school, Khristina enjoys gardening and handwork, including knitting and painting. She and her husband have two children who attend WWS.
