Kerry grew up in Bermuda and Ireland and has spent her life moving between cultures, languages, and countries. She served as a community health educator with the Peace Corps in Niger, West Africa, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University. Before entering education, Kerry worked for eight years as an Intensive Care Pediatric Registered Nurse in the Cardiac I.C.U. at Children’s National Hospital.
Kerry discovered Waldorf education while leading a Spanish-immersion forest school and was inspired by its holistic approach to child development. She later earned her Waldorf teaching certificate from Antioch University. Most recently, she has served at Potomac Crescent Waldorf School as a grades support teacher, Spanish teacher, and class teacher for Grades 1 and 2. Kerry is also the parent of two children at WWS and is grateful to be part of the school community as both a teacher and a parent.
