Jenni Chaves


Ms. Chaves was raised in Bogota, Colombia and Florida. She holds a BA in International Relations from Rollins College and an MA in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University, specializing in Peace and Conflict Resolution. After working in the private and public sectors, she redirected her quest for peace building to education. Jenni strongly believes that teaching to the heart, head, and soul of each child can make the world a better place.
Ms. Chaves began her Waldorf journey as a mother and later assistant teacher at Acorn Hill Waldorf Kindergarten and Nursery. Witnessing the power and effectiveness of the Waldorf approach, she pursued Waldorf Elementary Teacher Education training at Sunbridge Institute, finishing in 2023. She joined the Washington Waldorf School community in 2021 where she worked as an assistant teacher in the Children’s Garden and the Lower School.
