Hannah Shaw

Hannah attended a dual-degree program, earning BAs in history and art history at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. After college, she spent a year abroad and became fascinated by the history of photography. She pursued a PhD on the topic at Rutgers University, earning an MA and research fellowships in the U.S. and Germany. Her scholarship and writing have appeared in a number of publications, including Zeitschrift für Kunstgeschichte. While working as a curatorial assistant at a university art museum, Hannah had the opportunity to organize several exhibitions. These shows engaged a range of media but often focused on issues of history and memory. Hannah has many years of teaching experience, ranging from children’s swim instructor to college lecturer.
