Emily spent her childhood playing in the woods – an experience that fostered within her a deep appreciation for the natural world. She earned undergraduate degrees in English and creative writing from Princeton University and obtained an MFA in fiction writing from George Mason University. She taught university-level writing and literature seminars for over ten years before she moved to Europe and began a career as a children’s book author.
Emily is passionate about Waldorf education, and she loves talking about Waldorf with parents and children. Emily enjoys hiking, spending time in the woods with her children and her dog, running, reading, writing, and talking about books.
