Update from the Development Committee

Development Committee – Cultivating Community and Fundraising Support at Our Non-profit School

Greetings from your 2026-2027 Development Committee! The WWS Development Committee is a dedicated group of parent volunteers who work in partnership with our school’s professional fundraising staff. Together, our shared mission is to cultivate a strong, enduring culture of giving across our entire school community.

As a non-profit institution, our school relies on the generosity, spirit, and shared vision of our families, alumni, and friends. Philanthropic contributions to our One Fund directly cover what tuition alone doesn’t, supporting our talented teachers, enhancing classroom learning tools, and strengthening academic and extracurricular programs.

Throughout the year, our committee will work alongside staff to organize community events, cultivate donor relationships, support fundraising efforts, and celebrate the incredible generosity of our donors and volunteers. We have a goal to raise $475,000 this year; together, we will achieve this goal through:

  • Annual fundraising appeal (coming soon to your mailboxes!)
  • Dedicated giving days/weeks, including Giving Tuesday (November) and Participation Week (April)
  • Events including the bazaar, gala, plant sale, and more
  • Grant applications

We invite you to get involved this year—whether by attending an upcoming event, volunteering your time, or supporting our giving initiatives.

Development is just one of many ways to lend your support to our non-profit school. If you’re interested in getting more involved, please fill in the volunteer opportunities survey or reach out directly to development@washingtonwaldorf.org.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership, generosity, and dedication to our school community.

Warmly,

Your 2026-2027 Development Committee Volunteers:
