Buffy is a Maryland State Department of Education Certified School Counselor & Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and Virginia. She has direct experience working with students’ wellbeing in both public and
charter school settings and worked for several years as a clinical counselor working with children, adolescents, and
families.
In her school counseling roles with Frederick County and Montgomery County Public Schools, she worked closely with students, teachers, and families to assess concerns affecting students’ success and to recommend short-term, solution-focused courses of action. She also regularly served as a liaison between families and outside mental health providers, coordinating referrals, follow-up care, and trained staff on mandated reporting requirements.
Buffy was drawn to WWS knowing how the Waldorf approach supports the whole child..
