Part-Time Woodworking Teacher

The Washington Waldorf School is seeking a half-time woodworking teacher, beginning immediately. Key job duties include the following:

·    Teach woodworking and allied skills Grades 4-8.

·    Manage well-equipped school woodworking shop, including maintaining tools, supplies, and machinery, ordering materials, and keeping shop space clean and in good order.

·    Assess student work and write semester and year-end reports.

·    Meet with parents as needed.

 Requirements for the position include:

·    Bachelor’s degree

·    Teaching experience

·    Demonstrated expertise in woodworking and allied crafts

·    Ability to work independently and solve problems

·    Ability to pass Maryland criminal background check.
