Lucía Escobar Pérez was born in Mexico to a Mexican father and a Costa Rican mother and moved to Costa Rica at the age of seven. She holds a degree in tourism and an MBA and has built a diverse career spanning tourism, corporate social responsibility, and public health. Having lived in six different countries, Lucía speaks four languages fluently. For the past 12 years, she has called Washington, D.C. home. She loves reading, singing, and playing the guitar and is the proud mother of a wonderful two year old daughter.
