
Prior to stepping into her role as a class teacher, Torie worked in enrollment for eight years at Washington Waldorf and Potomac Crescent Waldorf School in Alexandria, VA. She spent over a decade as an education researcher, focused on evaluation of education reform efforts and uses of mindfulness in schools. She has taught in various settings, from a small town in Costa Rica to a Google Classroom.
Torie holds a bachelor’s degree from Williams College, a master’s degree in education from Stanford University, and a Waldorf teaching certificate from Antioch University New England. She is also engaged in a Waldorf handwork teacher training. Outside of work, Torie enjoys hiking, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
