At WWS, we believe that athletic team experiences are an essential part of the development of our students. Our athletic programs includes interscholastic teams and developmental clinics and camps. No cuts are made from any team, so each student has the opportunity to have a successful athletics experience. WWS coaches help students to develop self discipline, athletic skills, and practice good sportsmanship. Being a member of a team teaches important social skills, healthy habits, and routines that will help students lead successful and happy lives. WWS believes strongly in teaching students to develop a healthy relationship to competition.
Our teams compete in the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference. Each high school student is required to participate on one interscholastic sports team during each academic year. Students may choose from:
- Cross Country
The program begins in the 5th and continues through the 12th grade. During the fall season, WWS offers soccer and cross country teams for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. During the winter season each of these grades may participate in basketball. WWS also has spring clinics and practice for soccer, and summer basketball camps for 5th through 8th graders.
