Job Description
The Washington Waldorf School, is seeking a substitute for our regular High
School Math Teacher who will be out on leave from January through the end of
the school year in June.
The substitute will teach one section each of ongoing Grade 9 Algebra, Grade 10
Geometry, Grade 11 Algebra 2 & Trigonometry, Grade 12 Calculus and the
Grade 9 Permutations and Combinations Main Lesson Block March 4 th -April 5 th .
Ongoing math classes meet four times a week, and are split into regular and
honors level sections for each grade year. Main Lessons meet every morning,
8:45-10:00am for a block of several weeks. Supporting materials and lesson
plans are available.
The substitute will also cover some duties and attend weekly Faculty meeting.
Waldorf teaching experience is highly preferred, a minimum of a four-year
bachelor’s degree and a background check are required.
Washington Waldorf School is located on a beautiful 6-acre campus in Bethesda,
Maryland, a short distance from Washington DC, and within walking distance of
the Potomac River. Our total HS enrollment is about 52 students. We are fully accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools.
