Job Description

The Washington Waldorf School is seeking a Front Office Manager and Administrative Coordinator effective immediately.  We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, highly flexible, and able to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.  Experience in a Waldorf or other school setting is preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:  

  • Four-year college degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional time management skills and punctuality.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Flexible in supporting the school administrative functions as needed.
  • Organize, coordinate, schedule and perform a wide variety of tasks and office functions and activities related to the administration of diverse programs and operations.  Dependent on need, some of the duties may include:
  • Front Office Manger
    • Manage reception (in-person + phone) of families, students, visitors and vendors and direct them to the appropriate party.
    • Delivery support: Student lunches, forgotten items, packages, mail.
    • Last minute teacher support: copies, etc.
  • Lower School Coordinator
    • Attend weekly Lower School department meeting.
    • Provide coordination support to our Lower School department (family communication, event logistics support, field trip support).
    • Maintain weekly family newsletter for Lower School families.
  • Summer Camp Director
    • Lead the organization and the management of a summer program.
