Julie returned to teaching high school after a 30-year hiatus, during which she practiced law, retired, returned to school at the Corcoran, and earned her MA degree in book arts. As a lawyer, Julie initially advised clients on communications and intellectual property law issues, and later worked in-house as a corporate lawyer focused on international trade policy. Her work as a book artist can be seen in the Library of Congress, numerous university libraries, and private collections.
