Carolee Jakes

Carolee is a painter and printmaker from Northern Virginia. After receiving her BFA from the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Carolee set up Dead Run Studio in McLean, Virginia. Her current work combines printing and painting techniques and explores the visual continuum between representation and abstraction. Carolee’s work can be found in the collections of the Pew Charitable Trust, the National Gallery of Art: Corcoran Collection, the Library of Congress: Rare Books Collection, and other public and private collections in the United States and abroad.
