Lower School Admissions (Grades 1-8)

Grade 1 submission requirements:

  • Completed admissions application
  • $60 application fee
  • Photo of your child
  • Recommendation (form provided) from your child’s current kindergarten teacher
  • Other supporting documentation (i.e. any educational and/or psychological testing results)

Age Requirements

The First Grade Admissions Committee will review the complete application and schedule an admissions interview with the parents and a 2-day class visit for the child in our Children's Garden. “First consideration” admissions application deadline for September entry is January 31.  Admissions decisions will be rendered by the beginning of March.  Admissions applications are accepted for September entry after January 31 on a rolling basis.  Acceptance notifications are sent within two weeks of completeing application process.

Grades 2 - 8 submission requirements:

  • Completed admissions application
  • $60 application fee
  • Photo of your child
  • Official transcripts for current school year and previous 2 years
  • Recommendation (form provided) from your child’s current teacher
  • Middle school student questionnaire (for Grades 6-8)
  • Other supporting documentation (i.e. any educational and/or psychological testing results)

The appropriate Class Teacher will review the complete application and an admissions interview with the parents and child will be scheduled.  After an interview is conducted, the Class Teacher will invite the child for a class visit of 3-5 consecutive days. The admissions decision will be made after a review of the visit by the Lower School Faculty including the Class Teacher.  Acceptance notifications are sent within two weeks of completeing application process.

Where space is available admissions applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the school year.
