Senior Portraits
Near the end of 12th grade, each year every senior at the Washington Waldorf School paints a self portrait in oils. This portrait is a singular milestone in the students' Waldorf school journey. It is a journey of discovery, not only of the world and how to understand it, but also of oneself. We are not an art school, and few of our students go on to study the arts in college. But all of our students are artists. All can see the world with an artist's eye, and all can express the beauty in themselves and in the world around them.
